Its the time of year when we take the tree & decorations down & we look at our homes and that's when the magic begins in our minds with ideas of how to re-decorate.
I try to follow trends & colours as much as possible, but I am sure you will agree that to do this we would find ourselves in paint & wallpaper madness continuously!
So I thought I would share with you how I make this work for me and my family.
Living & married to a painter & decorator means you pick up the tricks of the trade quickly.
The Lounge, the room that is our showcase and that is seen by most.
My walls are always a neutral colour... and use only one wall as a feature wall. This will save you time when wanting to change. So this year I am going from Grey & Silver to Navy & Gold.
This photo was my inspiration
Due to wanting a very dark colour I have made the choice of wallpaper, as if I was to paint this colour and then decide I wanted white/cream again it would take a good few coats of paint, whereas this way I just remove the paper!
I'm going for white walls with this wall paper on one wall & then accessorise with colour.
This is the paper I have chosen.
I have selected some of items on my wish list that would fit perfectly with my newly decorated lounge for anyone inspired by my colour scheme to have a look at too. Here is my mood board below of everything I have on my wish list.
You can find all the products from my mood board in this collection on the website
