Baby loss does not discriminate between whether parents to be are same sex, identify as a different gender or non binary or if you are a single parent so we don't either.
We have been accused of misusing the term rainbow baby with our perfect little rainbow baby range when in fact we are trying to allow all rainbow baby parents to be able to be included.
We were specifically asked to create inclusive worded versions after a same sex couple who had experienced baby loss saw our original mummy and daddy version and fell in love with it.
One of our 4 mum ownership team is mum to a beautiful rainbow baby herself and we all have friends who have experienced baby loss too.
We are very aware of the significance of the term rainbow baby and sadly not everyone feels able to speak out about their loss or celebrate their miracle rainbow babybut we feel strongly that those who do want to should be able to whatever their gender or sexuality.
Baby loss matters and so does LGBTQ+ baby loss
Here is a great blog about LGBTQ+ baby loss for anyone who would like to understand more or may find it helpful to find others in a similar situation.
